Most of the downtown area belongs to the 19th century.

The campus of the University of Wesleyan has grown, and it contains dozens of 19th-century housing such as Samuel Wadsworth Russell House.

Middletown is located about 15 miles south of Hartford on the Connecticut River. The town has a long history. During the American Revolution, John Adams was counted as the most beautiful city in New England, but today almost nothing has survived since that time. Middle Town is a medium-sized university or business town and has some interesting vestiges of the 19th century church, cemetery and mill. It is considered to be the southernmost city of the Knowledge Corridor with a great number of prestigious universities and 120,000 university students. Midtown has a variety of restaurants (three Mexico, three India, two Thailand, two Tibetans and innumerable places in Italy).

On the hill of downtown Wesleyan University is located, but there are few places to be done correctly by university students in Midtown, apart from the main street restaurants and bars. Where's the bookstore? A shop that imports clothes? Well, maybe one or two, but they are hiding. To find the heart of Midtown, you have to sniff a little.

People with artistic characters have great materials. Middletown was selected as one of the 100 art towns in the United States a few years ago. Buttonwood Tree starts the theater world for children of all ages in a familiar entertainment space in North End of Main St.Oddfellows Playhouse, St.Oddfellows Playhouse. There is also a kind of lab-like Kid City, the perfect place to take children on rainy afternoon. For adults, most of the culture within the Wesleyan University campus (film, theater, variety of performances, art exhibition space, etc.) will be shown to the public and will probably be clipped out of it.

Midtown is also home to the Connecticut Valley Hospital, a major mental hospital in southern New England. If you see a few suspicious people in the city, you might be relaxing, taking the right medicine in a foreign patient.

The "M-link" Middletown Meriden Connection Service provides service between Meliden and Middletown. There is an Amtrak station in Meliden.

Dattco provides services between New Haven and Hartford that stay in Middletown.

by bus (via the Middle Town Area Transit), by car, or on foot in some cases. Behind Main Street, there is a free two-hour parking lot and a meter on Washington Street, and a medium-sized parking lot on the destination. Traffic gets busy on work days and at dinner.

The At Middletown

Although Midtown is generally not a dangerous city, the northern end of the city can be particularly dangerous at night. Middletown also belongs to Connecticut Valley Hospital, the largest mental hospital in New England. Although some patients are allowed to wander around the city, most of them are harmless and few are attacked by patients.

The police pass near and around popular restaurants, but at night they walk with other people to find local gangs and sex criminals.

The nearest big city is Hartford.

There are many towns around Midtown, and each one experiences a little different. Beyond the river is Portland. There are many small restaurants and bakeries influenced by Italy. The town next to the east is East Hampton. During the hot summer days, Lake Pokatapau was once a country-run but more suburban. At the Middle Town is Cromwell. With a population density higher than that of Portland or East Hampton, Cromwell is often offered in restaurants, activities, shopping and so on. You'll be able to look into your neighborhood and find something interesting.
